Timeless, Enduring Beauty
Engineered wood is composed of a multi-plank system consisting of layers of either plywood, hardwood, or high density fiber board depending on the manufacturer and series of the products, with a wood veneer on the top layer. These core layers add stability to the flooring, and therefore is better suited for use over radiant heat sources, over concrete and in rainy climates like Florida. The veneer is the actual hardwood product with a variety of species, colors, and textures. Most of these can also be refinished depending on the thickness of the veneer.
Solid Hardwood flooring is the solid natural wood species throughout the entire piece of flooring, typically with a tongue and groove installation. It has good sanding and refinishing capabilities. Several species and textures are available.
We carry name brands such as Columbia, Appalachian, and Anderson.
